Top 10 Fantasy Wide Receivers

Alright I’m back. It’s been awhile since I’ve written a blog. I had a lot going on this last week. Now today we’re going to go through the top ten wide receivers. Ok one player who belongs in the top ten but I couldn’t bring myself to put him in because of his injury history is Andre Johnson. He’s just not reliable for all 16 games. Let’s just get right into this.

10. Marques Colston New Orleans Saints WR: Alright to start this list off I’m going with the guy who probably could be a top 3 wide receiver on another team. Now now, I’m not saying Brees isn’t a great QB he is. What I’m saying is Brees is so good at QB he spreads the ball a lot. That’s not taking anything away from Colston or Brees. Colstons name is brought up in conversations with the names of great possession receivers like Calvin, Larry, and Andre Johnson.

9. Greg Jennings Green Bay Packers WR: Ok so Jennings is a good speed receiver but would he be as great with another QB in another system who knows, but the system he is in right now fits him like a glove an not OJs glove. Jennings will get a TD every week easily with Rodgers as his QB.

8. Mike Wallace Pittsburgh Steelers/? WR: Ok if Wallace ever signs his tender he can easily be a great WR. Even though last year he screwed me in the final week by only getting 1 point I still have him on this list. He was targeted second most for 20+ yard receptions. The ? next to Pitt is because I’m not sure he’s going to stay in Pitt. I think he wants a trade but in my opinion every receiver on Pitt will decline without Wallace on that field.

7. Roddy White Atlanta Falcons WR: Roddy and Matt have built a great wr qb combo. Now with jones stepping into the mix Roddy won’t have to face double teams every play. Roddy is another one of the best possession receivers. Just having that timing and with Matty Ice knowing and trusting Roddy a lot he’s almost guaranteed a td a game also.

6. Steve Smith Carolina Panthers WR: Steve Smith was written off last year in some leagues he wasn’t even drafted. SuperCam blew his stock straight through the roof when he became his favorite deep target in that hybrid offense in Carolina. With the arrival of Newton Smiths career was rejuvenated and he became a viable number one WR in any fantasy league. And I expect nothing but the same thing this year.

5. Wes Welker New England Patriots WR: Wes is one of the results of a great system. Welker is the best slot receiver in the pats offense with his size and speed he’s one of Brady’s favorite targets. He had the most targets and receptions last year. Wes is good for a great game every week Brady will always get him the ball. I don’t think the addition of Lloyd or offensive coach McDaniels will slow welker down, and neither will contract talks.

4 Calvin Johnson Detroit Lions WR: Megatron would be number one on this list but America and Lions nation (more like the only union between Packers, Bears, and Vikings fans against the lions) voted Megatron onto the Madden Cover. I’m a strong believer in the curse. I just couldn’t bring myself to put Megatron as the number one receiver, but I also couldn’t take him off this list he’s just that good. Hopefully he’s the first player to break the Madden curse.

3. Brandon Marshall Chicago Bears WR: With the reunion between Marshall and Cutler I think it will be a breakout year for both players. Marshall tore up the AFC with a horrible quarterback in Miami. With cutler as his QB he will make every game feel like a Probowl game making one handed grabs and insane catches like he always does. Marshall will prove he’s worth more than two third round picks.

2. AJ Green Cincinnati Bengals WR: in both his and the Red Rockets Second year together I think they will prove they can play with the best teams in the AFC. Yes they play some great defenses, but I don’t see anybody stopping Green from getting the ball he’s just all over the field. Green can out jump any defender and he can definitely blow by any defender even the great Revis Island.

1. Larry Fitzgerald Arizona Cardinals WR: Fitz is one of the greatest possession receivers to play the game. He hasn’t really ever had a great QB and I don’t think he ever will unless they finish dead last and get Barkley. That doesn’t even matter to Fitz though you throw the ball up and Fitz will somehow catch it he’s worked so hard to be the best of the best and I think he is.

Sorry I took so long to write again but I’m back Tight ends will be up tomorrow. I hope you guys enjoy this let me know what you think follow me let your friends know about this and share it. I’m doing so many fantasy leagues this year and I want competition throughout each week so if you need help don’t be afraid to ask. It’s all opinion but I’ve watched every preseason game done a lot of research and feel I know my stuff pretty well.
